Dr. Eric Sako is an Ivy League educated, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and board-certified dermatologist. He is an expert in skin cancer surgery and complex facial reconstruction, cosmetic injectables such as Botox® and Juvederm®, and general medical dermatology including moles, acne, and eczema.
Dr. Sako earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School, where he majored in Finance. He completed medical school at UCLA and graduated AOA, a distinction given only to those at the top of the class. He went on to complete his dermatology residency at UCLA. To further his training in skin cancer surgery, Dr. Sako completed a comprehensive and prestigious Mohs surgery fellowship at UCLA. During fellowship, Dr. Sako mastered all aspects of Mohs surgery and cosmetics alongside leaders in the field of dermatology, laser surgery and plastic surgery.
Dr. Sako is dedicated to advancing the field of dermatology and improving patient care. He has presented his dermatology research at national dermatology meetings and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters. He has acted as a study coordinator for a large national clinical trial for psoriasis which led to FDA approval of a novel biologic medication. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Sako was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He enjoys swimming, the Lakers and spending time with family.
